Donofry Powers Huskies Past Susquehanna

BLOOMSBURG--Tony Donofry (Newtown/Council Rock North) went 4 for 5 and drove in three runs to lead the Bloomsburg University baseball team to a 14-6 win over Susquehanna University on Tuesday in a game called after eight innings due to darkness.

Donofry had three singles in the game and hit a three-run homer to highlight a six-run fifth inning for the Huskies. Keenan McCann (Hanover Twp/Hanover) added four runs batted in despite getting just one hit. McCann drove in a run with a ground out, a fielder's choice and had a two-run single in a five-run sixth.

Susquehanna scored five times in the second to lead 5-0 in the game with Nick Vasilenko driving in two with a single and Pat Murphy hitting a solo home run.

Mike Rosetti (Phillipsburg, NJ/Phillipsburg) picked up the win for Bloomsburg in relief with four innings of work and allowing just one unearned run and striking out three.

Bloomsburg, 8-19, plays at Millersville on Friday at 1 p.m.
